Evaluations: Fishers vs. Warren Central
Warren Central completed their perfect season with a 67-39 win over Fishers. Warren Central held the lead throughout the entire game and Fishers was never in the lead. They had a chance to take the lead but Warren Central then went on a 10-0 run to end the half.
Fishers
Josiah Matthews | 6’ SG | 2019
Matthews started off quickly but then got into a groove where he couldn’t stop turning the ball over. Matthews finished with five turnovers and didn’t do much else. He’s a good athlete, just needs to work on his skills a little bit.
Terry Hicks | 6’5 PF | 2019
Hicks was a beast bullying his way to the rim in this one. He finished the game 6-of-10 from the field. He was able to pull down rebounds at a high rate as well but struggle to take care of the ball. Hicks was by far the best player for Fishers.
Jeremy Szilagyi | 6’4 SF | 2018
Szilagyi struggled a bit in this one but still had an effective game. He only shot 1-of-5 from deep but still scored nine points. He took care of the ball and just had one turnover in a game where Fishers had 15. He is a tall wing who likes to play out on the perimeter. He isn’t able to create for himself quite yet, but it’s a step you can tell he’s trying to make.
Warren Central
Jesse Bingham | 6’6 SF | 2019
Without his fellow big playing in the game due to sickness, Bingham pretty much took over. He was getting anything that he wanted inside the paint and was really thwarting anything that Fishers tried to do in the paint on their offensive end. Bingham is really long and knows how to use his length well. A guy who will play D1 ball.
Dean Tate | 5’9 SG | 2018
Tate is small but he’s a damn good guard. While he’s quick and tough he can also step out and hit the three ball. He has superb handles and can dribble out of most pressure because of them. A high energy guy that will probably play at a D3 and be of help immediately.
Joe Rush | 6’ SG | 2018
Rush has gotten better every time I’ve seen him this year. He was ultra-aggressive in this one getting to the rim pretty easily. He was breaking his guy down and getting to the rim. The best game I’ve seen out of Rush since he was at Howe.
David Bell | 6’3 SG | 2018
Bell played another great game. He can guard all five positions on the floor and when he gets going he’s tough to stop. He is a guy who is tough as nails and basketball isn’t even his best sport. One of the best juniors in the state at basketball.
