The updated 2020 prospect rankings are now out and we are taking a quick look back through our notes and some players have made big moves in this update. Today, we are looking at a few of those biggest risers.
D’Andre Davis – 6’3 | SG | 2020 | Lawrence Central (IN)
Davis was a guy that we knew had all of the tools to be really good but you have been kind of waiting to see something develop so that you knew what direction he was going to go. Well, the biggest change this season is his ability to effect the game. He’s much more involved and all of his skill seems to be playing up. He’s shooting the ball well, driving and slashing, and showing improved defense. We still are a bit unsure if he’ll be more of a guard or a wing long term but the production and ceiling has risen since the summer.
Jake Wadding – 6’4 | SG | 2020 | Chesterton (IN)
Wadding might be one of those players nobody knows about but they really should. If he played in the Indianapolis area he would be a highly sought after player. Great size, skill, and he’s got the athletic ability and length to play at the next level. We got a chance to see him at Noblesville for the Holiday Tournament and he was very impressive. Enough ball handling to stay on the ball a bit and aggressive enough to create his offense against high level players.
Robert Farrell – 6’2 | SG | 2020 | McCutcheon (IN)
Farrell has been a favorite of ours for quite a while now. He has improved in a lot of areas and he has kept up his shooting ability. Best still as a shooter and can really rip it from deep. But that development of ball handling and creation into the lane is giving him more opportunities for offense. This McCutcheon team is his next year and he’s looking like he could be capable of really picking up his scoring a year from now.
Dillon Duff – 6’4 | SF | 2020 | Fort Wayne Snider (IN)
Duff, who is in a very similar to D’Andre Davis, was kid we liked but the size/skill component was one we had to watch develop and see which direction he goes. He’s a little bigger now but really just so much more active and tougher allowing him to play all over the floor. He’s definitely more of a forward but skilled enough to really provide offense from deep and definitely in the lane. Really good prospect that is developing at a high rate right now.
