Recruiting Report: Connor Crane (2018)
Six-foot-5 Sturgis Brown forward Connor Crane talked to PHD about his team’s 3-1 start and he mentioned the two college programs talking to him the most.
Crane is coming off his best game of the year scoring 19 against Spearfish in a 20 point win. Crane has been in double figures every game this season and has paired with Dawson Geuke to make an excellent inside-out pair.
“I’ve learned a lot so far this year,” Crane said. “I’ve noticed we will always work hard and find a way to get something to work on offense or defense. “
The Scoopers schedule is reasonably tough but the majority of the games, if not all of the games are winnable for this team. If they can play with number one ranked Aberdeen Central (at the time of the game) the Scoopers can play with anybody.
“I’m expecting big games,” Crane said. “We are a good team and I know teams want to beat us. We want to go as far as we can this year. We all want to go to the state tournament and that is our biggest goal.
“This year I just want to work on my game and improve as much as I can and help our team.”
When the high school season is over Crane will then have a chance to look into what college program he will play for. Two of the several in contact stand out at the moment.
“Dakota Wesleyan and Mount Marty are my top options right now for college basketball,” Crane said.
