Forum: McCutcheon vs. Indianapolis Tindley Evaluations
We are finishing up some evaluations from last week’s Forum Tip-Off Classic. These are our player breakdowns from the Indianapolis Tindley win over McCutcheon.
Robert Phinisee | 6’2 | PG | 2018 | McCutcheon (IN) | Phinisee played really well in this game. His scoring ability is as good as it has ever been but he is being asked to do a ton. He shot the ball well but played much better in the second half as a distributor. Only scored 2 of his 24 in the second half but the team was better and was able to claw back in the game. He was good on those matchups against Hunter from the defensive side of the ball but zoning in the second half put that to rest and Robert fouled out early. He finished with 24 points on 8/17 shooting with 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. |
Koby McNeely | 6’5 | SF | 2018 | McCutcheon (IN) | McNeely was really good again as a catch-and-shoot guy. He’s pretty quick with his release and if he can get those looks to fall from distance, he can really contribute to the game. As a specialist, he could find a role in college. He hit 4/7 from distance and was big in McCutcheon staying in this game. He finished with 12 points on 4/10 shooting along with 3 steals. |
Rowen Farrell | 6’2 | SG | 2020 | McCutcheon (IN) | Rowen had a fairly good game as he got going later in the game. He came out of the game slow like the rest of the team outside of Phinisee. However, he got more looks from three off the catch and seemed to get going after he made a couple. He started to drive the ball more after Phinisee went out and you can see where his game is going to go. Will get to the point where he is able to pull-up more in transition and cause issues for defenders. He finished with 14 points on 4/11 shooting. |
Sincere McMahon | 6’0 | PG | 2020 | Indianapolis Tindley (IN) | SIncere has become really solid with his scoring ability this year. He is really good as a shooter off the catch and he is improving with the ball in his hands, workings to get off a clean look along the arc. His driving game was good as well where he is also a good passer out to the wing. He’s got a good balance of creation for himself and for his teammates. He finished with 17 points on 5/9 shooting, 3/4 from deep with 3 assists. |
Eric Hunter Jr. | 6’3 | SG | 2018 | Indianapolis Tindley (IN) | This was a very typical Eric Hunter game with his jumper on point and being very aggressive searching for shots. He didn’t overplay his hand, was very efficient and really made things difficult in the second half when he barely missed any shots. At his best, he’s creating at all three levels and especially in the mid-range. He’s a zone- buster with his shooting ability and creation in the middle of the floor. Liked his aggressiveness on the rebounding side of the ball as well. Was tough in this one. He finished with 25 points on 8/15 shooting, 5/8 from three along with 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. |
