Five Good Guys (December 12)
On a given night, Prep Hoops Missouri will pick out five random players from the state and single them out for their outstanding performances from that evening. Here is the first installment of “Five Good Guys” from Tuesday night, December 12.
Hayden Thomas 6’2″ Twin Rivers: The versatile 2019 guard scored 37 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in a victory over Puxico. Thomas has been an attendee at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo in St. Louis for the past two years.
Jalen Lewis 5’10” Liberty: The 2018 guard scored a game-high 36 points, which included a school-record 10 3-pointers in a big victory over Grandview. Lewis has already signed with Washburn University.
Broc Smith 6’3″ Republic: The 2019 guard scored a game-high 31 points to lead Republic to a big road win at Springfield Parkview. Smith is a fine all-around talent who can shoot, pass, handle the ball and defend.
Mike Sanders 5’10” SLUH: The 2018 point guard had 22 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists in the Jr. Billikens’ victory over Trinity. Sanders has ascended to the leadership role at SLUH after the graduation of seven excellent players.
Clay Gayman 6’6″ Nevada: The 2018 forward had 32 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks in a victory over St. Michael’s. The Abilene Christian signee continues his prowess as a walking, talking double-double machine.
