Recruiting Report: Gage Gruenhagen (2018)
DeSmet’s Gage Gruenhagen has high expectations for his senior year and those expectations come from experience back from last year’s team.
“We have four starters returning and we are coming off a successful summer of playing well together and playing hard so our hopes are high,” Gage said.
“Me and my team’s goals are to go out and compete every game and play how we know we can play and we will see where that takes us.”
Gage played with the Team Pentagon 17u squad as well as De Smet in summer play.
“This off season I stayed busy with playing AAU for the Pentagon, and going to several team camps and league with my school team, my junior year was good we had a lot of new starters and role players and we found guys to fill the roles that we lost the previous year.”
Gage’s goal is to become a better playmaker in all ways.
“My focus has really been to sharpen up my shooting skills and be more vigilant on the court, look for open teammates more often and see what the defense gives us,” Gage said.
One college program has made contact with Gruenhagen and he’s visited the school.
“DWU basketball is the only program that has contacted me and I have visited there, Gage said.
