Prospect Watch: Jacob Ohnstad (2018)
Guard Jacob Ohnstad of Grand Forks Central led his team in scoring and assists as a junior and now hopes to push the Knights to an improved 17-18 season.
“This off-season I played on the GF Swish AAU team. (Coaches included former UND player Quinton Hooker, and others),” Ohnstad said. “My two main focuses of improvement were strength/condition as well as becoming a better defender.”
The Knights won only a single game a year ago but this year with a lot of their players back Ohnstad feels things should be better.
“We have a lot of talent who saw lots of varsity time last season returning for us this season,” Jacob stated. “We except too have a better season than last year and have more competing games with all the EDC teams.”
Like we have continued to say the Knights just want to be better. Back with Knutson will be key players Debyn Johnson and Jamil Suleiman so the team should be better as there is experience.
“As an individual this season one of main goals is to names to the all EDC team,” Jacon said. “Team goals would be to have better chemistry through more time paying with a lot of same guys.
“We would like to improve our record and make the EDC tournament.”
