The Basketball Interview with Bradyn Rusher
Bradyn Rusher spoke to PHD today about who got him started in basketball and some of his favorite things about the game.
At your school, what is your favorite part or parts about game days in terms of the routine leading up to the game?
BR: My favorite part of game days at school is that everyone on our dresses up and that we all look really professional through out the day. I also love just hanging in our locker room with the guys before we play.
What makes your crowd unique? What is a memorable thing that they’ve done that you will always remember?
BR: The thing that makes our crowd so special is how passionate they are. Both the communities that make up our co-op show up all the time at games that our two hours away sometimes and that’s pretty special. I will always remember when basically every person from Clark and Willow were at our region game my sophomore year.
Who is the toughest player that you have faced in your career?
BR: The toughest player i have ever had to personally guard is probably Dylan Lebrun he can just score at will and is super lengthy.
Who is your biggest rival and what about them makes the rivalry both heated and memorable?
BR: Our biggest rival is probably a tie between Souix Valley or Roncalli. It’s always a great game when we play those two teams and the atmosphere is crazy and fun to play in
Who is your favorite basketball player in the world and why?
BR: My favorite player by far is Dwyane Wade. I’ve been the biggest fan of his since I can remember and always will.
All basketball players love gear. What brand of gear or type of gear are you partial to?
BR: For basketball shoes I swear by Adidas those are my favorite type of basketball shoes by far
What is your favorite venue to play basketball in that you’ve played in?
BR: I really liked playing in the Civic Center in Rapid City but my favorite place to play is the Pentagon.
What court that you haven’t played on would you dream of playing on?
BR: I would love to play in the Barnett Center in Aberdeen.
Explain the relationship varsity players have at your school with youth players?
BR: Coming from a small town everybody knows everybody and it’s really cool going down to the elementary or middle school and every little kid knows your name and it kinda makes you feel like a celebrity.
Who is your basketball influence?
BR: The reason I fell in love with basketball was my mom. She gave me a basketball to play with at a young age and that’s where I developed my love for the game
NBA. Who is your team?
BR: My NBA team will always be the Miami Heat
