Recruiting Report: Jalen Windham (2019)
The class of 2019 is showing that it is going to produce a lot of Division I talent and this Fall has been showing just that. One of the many players building up the depth of the class is Ben Davis (IN) wing Jalen Windham.
The talented 6’5 wing was a key part of Ben Davis’ success last season. He provided some offense and depth as a scorer. Last season, he averaged 6.8 points per game on a loaded roster. However, you could see the potential where in three games he scored 12, 15, and 21 points.
In those games, he did most of his damage from behind the three point line. That is where Jalen excels right now. His ball handling ability has picked up and he’s more of a creator off the bounce with his work this summer with Team Teague 2019 but his biggest asset is his size at 6’5 and ability to shoot the ball.
For coaches, that is what is drawing them in but the potential is what is landing him some offers. To date, Windham has offers from IUPUI and Toldeo. Lately, though, he has been seeing the interest pick up. Xavier, Clemson, Miami (OH), Indiana State, Ohio, and Michigan State are schools this Fall that are showing some love.
Recently, Windham has been on visits to Michigan State, Indiana State, and Miami (OH). He has one more upcoming visit on October 7th to Ohio. Soon, he’ll suit back up for Ben Davis and play a larger role for them with a slew of new college coaches paying attention.
