Rameybasketball Fall League (2019 Standouts)
Prep Hoops Missouri was in attendance at the Rameybasketball Fall League at Cardinal Ritter on Sunday. Here is a look at some of the top Class of 2019 standouts:
Courtland Sol 6’2″ St. Louis Christian: A smooth shooting combo guard who put up 33 points and made seven 3-pointers on the day and really looked good doing it. He shot the ball well off the catch and even knocked down a few off the dribble. He has nice handles with the ability to get in the lane, but he shined from 3-point range on Sunday.
Mario McKinney 6’1″ Vashon: After a big day at the Brad Beal Fall League on Saturday, “Hoodie” Mario was on the loose again at Cardinal Ritter as he scored 21 points on many exciting plays, which included pull up jumpers, transition dunks and swooping drives to the basket.
Ray Adams 6’3″ Webster Groves: The sweet shooting Adams scored 22 points in his team’s victory, but he was really on fire in the first half when he scored 19 points, including three 3-pointers. What was more impressive than the shooting was his ability to move without the ball, which resulted in four layups off of nice cuts to the basket. His offensive game continues to become more well-rounded as he gets older.
Jason Montgomery 6’4″ Marquette: A versatile combo forward who scored 14 points in his team’s victory. He’s a strong inside player who has worked hard to develop his perimeter game and it has really showed. He has become comfortable with his ball handling and ability to shoot from 3-point range. It has made him a much more effective player.
Malek Davis 5’10” Cardinal Ritter: The talented combo guard scored 15 points on a variety of mid-range jumpers, floaters and 3-pointers. He plays the game with the poise and savvy of a 26-year old man, especially on the offensive end. He plays under control and moves at his own pace. He always knows where he wants to go on the court and he knows how to create off the dribble.
Cyrus Alexander 6’5″ Vashon: The young workhorse forward scored 18 points and played a terrific inside game in leading his team back from a big deficit to a near victory. He was a tireless worker around the basket with his offensive rebounding and rim attacks in the low post. He’s developed a nice dribble drive game from the high post to supplement his low post game.
