2A Frontrunners: Indianapolis Scecina
The season is getting closer and closer and we are starting to dive into the rosters and Sectionals that will help to determine who are the top competition for each class. Today, we take a look into 2A and the frontrunners. Today, we breakdown Indianapolis Scecina.

Top Departures: Riley Carter (Graduate), Jarron Brooks (Graduate)
New Additions: Armaan Hillman (Fr.)
Why A Frontrunner: The reason that Scecina is a frontrunner when last year they only won 16 games, they are all back and they are deep. This has been a program for the last few years that has been working to develop the tons of talent they have. They have four seniors who are all starter level guys, along with two juniors that are some of their better players. Manuel Brown has solidified his game over the last year and he’s easily their best player, a guy that can put up points from the point guard spot while still creating enough for his teammates. Look for guys like Kobe Clancy and Makylin Brown to be bigger contributors this season and draw the eye of the Indianapolis area. They go south, much like Indianapolis Howe, they won’t have to deal with the stacked teams in the north. That mixed with their deep roster for a 2A team and they have a legit shot to surpass 20 wins and challenge to be the 2A South representative.
Outlook: For this team, they should rack up some wins this year. They have some easier games with only a few tough ones. Teams like Attucks, Roncalli, Ritter, and Park Tudor are on their schedule but for the most part they should be able to make it through and get a good amount of wins. You need to see the growth this year, though. They had 6 losses last year that are a bit questionable with the talent they have. Flip half of those and you have 19-7 record. That is the goal this year and they should be able to do just that.
