Top 250 Expo – Session #1
Standout Guards
Nick Bowman – 6’1” | Hamilton Southeastern | Class of 2018
Nick Bowman is one of those guys that looked great in transition and finishing at the basket throughout the expo. He finished above the rim with some nice dunks and also showed that he has been working on his jumper in the off season. Bowman is a good defender with quick feet and he uses his strength to his advantage when guarding on the ball. He will be an integral piece for Hamilton Southeastern this season and is set up for a great senior season.
Manuel Brown Jr. – 6’1” | Scecina Memorial | Class of 2019
Manuel Brown Jr. took over game after game in clutch time. The strong bodied guard is deceptively quick with the ball in his hands and had great success getting to the rim on Saturday. Brown Jr. can finish at the basket with the best of them and has next level athleticism to compliment his wide frame. He knocked down the long ball with good consistency and was great defending at the basket on defense. He rose up for a few big-time blocks in transition.

Trajan Deckard – 5’8” | Kokomo | Class of 2018
Trajan Deckard was explosive with his first step this weekend. He got by defender’s hips and created contact to get by them and into the lane. Deckard is a true point guard and is looking to create more than he is looking for his own shot. He proved that he can stretch the floor with the long ball and got hot in a few games where he rattled off a few threes on straight possessions. Trajan is looking to have a breakout senior season.
Jared Hankins – 6’4” | Lawrence North | Class of 2019
Jared Hankins is another guard that stood out with his athleticism and ability to get to the backline defenders off the bounce. Hankins can fill it up in a hurry and isn’t afraid to carry his team through games. He scored the ball at a good rate from all three levels this weekend. Hankins uses his length on defense to get out in passing lanes and pushes the ball well in transition. He had a few nice finishes above the rim and will be a player to keep an eye on in Indianapolis.
Michael Hemingway – 5’10” | Mishawaka Marian | Class of 2018
Michael Hemingway showed that he can play either a scoring guard or a lead guard position at the expo. He has added strength to his frame and his jump shot is proving more consistent. Hemingway has always been able to score the ball with the best of them but was impressive as a distributor this weekend. His court awareness and basketball IQ has been increasing over the summer and he is developing into a true leader for Mishawaka Marian.
Marquise Kennedy – 6’1” | Brother Rice (IL) | Class of 2019
Marquise Kennedy finished strong at the rim and also stepped out to thirty feet and knocked down the deep ball. He was the best guard at the expo at influencing shots on defense and cleaning up possessions on the defensive glass. Kennedy is explosive off of two feet and showed it with some highlight real dunks over multiple defenders. He is a complete player at the guard position and has a knack for impacting the game on the defensive end of the floor.
Eli Streeval – 6’2” | Morristown | Class of 2018
Eli Streeval is another athletic guard that can get to the rim and finish in a hurry. Streeval has grown since the Senior Showcase and is starting to use his length well on both ends. His jumper is becoming more consistent and he’s using it well to open up driving lanes for him and his teammates. Eli is a master at the chase down block and had a handful of them at the expo. A quickly improving player to keep an eye on as he looks to breakout his senior season.
