Recruiting Report: Jackson Reiff (2018)
Jackson Reiff’s top skill is his ability to knock down outside shots. He got even better at that over the course of the summer.
Reiff, a 6-foot-3 combo forward from Sioux Falls Roosevelt, spent the grassroots season with South Dakota Attack where he had an opportunity to play with and against top-level competition throughout the summer.
“We were a solid team, things went well so it was a lot of fun,” said Reiff. “I played since I was in eighth grade and it’s a great way to get better. You aren’t playing anyone bad and it’s always tough competition.”
Reiff averaged about 12 points per game during his junior season at Roosevelt and wanted to improve as an overall scorer to shoulder a larger load this upcoming winter.
“My jumpshot got way better from my junior year,” said Reiff. “That was nice. I’m best when I can knock down outside shots. If I have to, I’ll drive and try to get to either a pull up or all the way to the rim. I think I got more comfortable doing that this summer.”
Reiff’s drawn interest from several local colleges.
“I would like to play in college for sure,” said Reiff. “I’ve been talking to Mount Marty and Dakota Wesleyan. I’m definitely going to wait until my senior year is done and see what kind of interest I can draw. We’ll see what kind of options are out there.”
