Texas assistant Mike Morel, Clemson Head Coach Brad Brownell, St. John’s assistant Matt Abdelmassih were in attendance for the open gym.
Texas recently offered #3 ranked 2019 Jalen Lecque and were on hand to get a closer look at the combo guard. He was showing the ability to play the point guard position exceptionally well and was for the most part un-guardable for the entire open gym. He is one of the quickest risers to the rim that we have seen this season. He has picked up offers from pretty much every school in the country and Clemson offered this past weekend while on an unofficial visit.
Brandon StoneSt. John’s was in to see 6’10 Brandon Stone and Jalen Lecque. Stone is a player from the northeast and is long and athletic. He showed the ability to handle the ball well and should be on the list of high-major programs by the time next season rolls around.
Norance Berry was very impressive today at Christ School open gym. The class of 2020 shooting guard is a defensive stopper and will out hustle any player on the floor. He is able to read ball screens and can knock down the open jumper out past the three-point line. He has a tight handle and can score off the dribble. He is strong and has an athletic build. Schools such as East Tennessee State have already offered.
Justice Ajogbor was getting some looks of his own from the coaches in attendance. The 6’10, 2020 forward dunks everything he can get his hands on. He is long and is up to about 240 pounds. He is a high-level student and is in only his second season of organized basketball.
