New ND Grassroots Team: North Dakota Attack
North Dakota grassroots basketball will have a new team on the block next summer. Familiar faces, however a new team and brand has emerged.
Announced last week was the creation of the North Dakota Attack basketball program. Led by Greg Foster, the ND Attack has launched their website (www.ndattack.com) and announced tryout dates for boys teams. They plan to offer teams from 12U to 17U (grades 6-11) starting in the spring of 2018. Foster, former Rugby High School Head Boys Basketball Coach, has most recently been working with the ND Cougars summer team and is the North Dakota director of Warwick Workouts.
It is the belief of the North Dakota Attack basketball program that better basketball players are developed through the reinforcement of fundamentals and the teaching of advanced individual skills and team concepts, on a repetitive basis. This philosophy, they believe, will maximize each athlete’s potential to excel as individuals and also develop as a valuable team member.
One of the top priorities of North Dakota Attack is individual player skill development. At the core of this development is Warwick Workouts. In addition to practices throughout the spring, our athletes are also provided Warwick Workout individual offensive skill development sessions along with team practices. In the summer each ND Attack athlete is enrolled in a Skills Camp.
Core Beliefs of the ND Attack as posted on their website are:
- Players will develop individual and team basketball skills.
- Players will learn to compete in a challenging basketball environment.
- To provide local basketball athletes an opportunity to gain experience playing in highly competitive tournaments throughout the Midwest Region.
- To provide an opportunity for area basketball athletes to showcase their talents in front of recruiting analysts and college scouts and coaches.
- To provide an opportunity for these student athletes to build relationships and life skills through the North Dakota Attack Basketball program.
Initial tryouts for the ND attack are scheduled for November 5th in Jamestown, ND.
