Mario McKinney Continues Coach Parade to Vashon
College coaches are out heavy trying to find 2019’s this month. Mario McKinney Jr. is one of the hottest commodities in the Midwest.
His phone is akin to an old-timey switchboard and Mario is the operator, clicking and sorting at startling pace.
“Purdue Assistant Coach Steve (Lutz) just text me and said he will be in tomorrow to see me at open gym,” said McKinney around 8 PM C.S.T.
“Tomorrow Purdue, Mizzou, Wisconsin Milwaukee,” shared McKinney.
It is old hat at this point. Big 10 programs send out reps, Big 12 coaches know him as a ‘must-see’ prospect.
“Tuesday SIU-Carbondale,” shared McKinney around 10 PM C.S.T.
“Illinois will be in Wednesday.”
Thursday Marquette is sending their head coach. Michigan and Valporaiso are also popping in this week.
Mario’s offer list is long.

Vashon has two other young guys worthy of evaluations. Thanks to Mario McKinney Jr. for the heads up, but 2020 Cameron Fletcher and Kobe Clark have already posted D1 offers.
“Cameron Fletcher got offered by K state and St. Louis University last week along with Kobe Clark being offered by St. Louis University,” said McKinney Jr.
Expect several more offers to land at the feet of McKinney, Fletcher, and Clark this week.
