Recruiting Report: Austin Boucher (2018)
The road back to Indiana has been a long one but following his final summer on the AAU circuit with UA G3 Grind 2018, Austin Boucher is heading back to Indiana with a new high school team with big expectations.
The 6’2 guard spent his first two seasons in Indiana at Fort Wayne South (IN) and put up some big numbers. A transfer issue sent him out to a St. James in Maryland for his junior season. This year, he’s back and will be heading to Fort Wayne North (IN).
He joins a loaded roster who will be looking to make a deep run into the State Tournament once again this year. With a few move-ins between Boucher and Lucas Kroft, and national standout Keion Brooks Jr., this group should be among the best in the state.
For Boucher, he showed a more reserved and productive player this summer on the UAA circuit with UA G3 Grind 2018. He was playing more under control and still had that scoring ability in the half-court game. Playing off the ball allowed him to be a much more efficient player and it seemed to help.
His recruiting is solid right now as he has two offers from Air Force and Ball State. He has other Division I interest and should continue to draw that as we head into the Fall. The high-academic prospect is still wide-open right now.
