Jayhawk Summer Finale Recap (Class of 2019 Shooting guards/Wings)
Here is a look at some of the top Missouri Class of 2019 shooting guards and wings from last weekend’s Jayhawk Summer Finale in Overland Park, KS.
Mario McKinney 6’1″ Brad Beal Elite: The athletic guard displayed the ability to get buckets in bunches at any given time. He might miss his first three or four shots, but then he will go on a run where he will knock down a couple of 3-pointers, score on a drive, grab an offensive rebound for a put back and throw down a slam dunk in transition. He plays with a lot of confidence and is always a high energy performer.
Amauri Pesek-Hickson 6’2″ Team Rush: A physically built wing player who will be transferring to Chaminade from Omaha, NE for the upcoming season. He is strong and athletic and does an excellent job attacking the basket with a variety of moves off the dribble. He also has a very good middle game where he can pull up and knock down his muscular mid-range jumper. He creates separation and has good elevation.
Ben Cooper 6’1″ Brad Beal Elite: Solid guard who enjoyed a very good week at the Jayhawk with his shooting ability. He did a nice job of knocking down shots from 3-point range and also from the mid range on one-dribble pull-ups. He moves well without the basketball and always found the open spots on the floor.
Donyae McCaskill 5’10” Yanders Law: One of the most athletic guards in the tournament, McCaskill played at both the 16U and 17U levels. He is an explosive guard who will attack the basket and try to dunk on people at every opportunity. Here is a fearless performer.
