Class of 2019 Point/Combo Guards (Over 6 feet)
Here is a look at the top Class of 2019 Point/Combo guards in the state of Missouri that are over 6 feet.
Mario McKinney 6’2″ Vashon: The dynamic jumping jack becomes the new leader at Vashon as they make a run for a three-peat state championship in Class 4. McKinney enjoyed an excellent performance at the Nike Elite 100 in June to highlight a very productive summer. He already has a number of Division I offers.
DeJuan Harris 6’2″ Rock Bridge: A smooth athletic combo guard who excels on both ends of the court. He can sit down and pick a ball handler’s pocket in the open court. He is a very willing passer who can also get buckets as a perimeter shooter and slasher. Will be a key player for Rock Bridge, which figures to be a prime contender in Class 5.
Amorey Womack 6’1″ Webster Groves: A physical scoring combo guard who has developed into an excellent bucket-getter over the past year. He can play through contact and finish at the rim in traffic, plus he can knock down pull up jumpers and 3-pointers. A transfer from Maplewood, he will add some more offensive firepower to a Webster Groves team that will try to repeat as Class 5 state champions.
Keyyaun Batchman 6’2″ Chaminade: A physically strong guard who really excels on the defensive end with his ball pressure and intensity. Moves his feet and can put the arm on you. He is at his best offensively when he is attacking the basket off the dribble.
Evan Asleson 6’1″ DeSmet: The talented combo guard enjoyed a very productive summer with the Arsenal Hoops 16U team. He is an excellent 3-point shooter who comes off screens well and gets to open spots in transition. He is also developing a solid dribble-drive game to the basket.
Braeden Combs 6’2″ Nixa: A thick old-school combo guard who plays the game at his own speed, but is very effective with it. He has good size and he uses his body to keep defenders at bay, but he has the ability to get to the basket almost at will to finish at the rim.
CE Talton 6’3″ Monroe City: A very good small school combo guard with nice size and a versatile skill set. He has the ability to score, rebound and set teammates up with his passing skills. He is primed for another big season after leading his team to a Class 3 district championship as a sophomore.
Courtland Sol 6’1″ Tower Grove: A nifty point guard who has a smooth set of handles, which enables him to get wherever he wants to on the floor. He has an excellent change of pace game and good court vision to locate open teammates anywhere on the court. Always under control.
Winston Quinn 6’2″ Glendale: A steady combo guard with good length and a high basketball IQ. He is a solid ball handler and passer who can knock down open 3-pointers. Plays a very smooth game.
