Walter Jr. picks up D2 offer at Prep Hoops Finale
Derrick Walter Jr. 2018 Midwest City and Primetime 6’5 Wing has picked up an offer from Oklahoma Christian. The Eagles have been recruiting Walter for some time, but made it official to offer him after back to back spectacular performances at the Prep Hoops Finale.
Walter has really improved over the time of his high school career. He has went from a three-point shooter to a dynamic Wing that can do it all at 6’5. He has most improved at taking the ball to the rim with aggression. Walter has also evolved as a player that can also create his own jump shot.
The length of Walter on defense makes it tough for people to pass around him. The overall skill set and build of Walter is one that will attract colleges. The offer from Oklahoma Christian is his first. Look for more to come with a great July with Primetime.
Walter looks to continue his strong play as he leads Primetime in their opening bracket play game at 3pm. Prep Hoops projects Walter as a Low Division I prospect to High D2.
