Recruiting Report: Logan Miller (2018)
Six-foot-3 Beulah guard Logan Miller led his team to a 20-4 season this winter and is now testing himself on the 17u circuit with North Dakota Phenom.
“The game is much faster and more physical,” Miller said of playing AAU. “I’ve learned that you always have to play hard all the time. It really shows me what I need to work on and improve on against that level of talent.”
Logan grew this winter as well when his team won 11 games in a row heading into the region final. The Miners lost to Trinity by a single score but it was a great year of growth and accomplishment for Logan.
“I think I grew mentally and physically stronger this winter,” Miller said of his junior season. “Our team continued to get better and work together throughout the season. We had a very successful season even though we ended one game short of the state tournament.”
In addition to playing at a more competitive level of basketball on the 17u circuit Miller is also working daily in his local gym to get ready for his final year.
“I want to continue to get physically stronger by being in the weight room and really want to improve my perimeter shooting. I also want to continue to work on my ball handling.”
College basketball could be in the future. There are local junior college and NAIA options plus an NSIC school has called looking to potentially add to their roster that needs 18.
“I would love to play college basketball if the opportunity is there,” Miller said. “It has always been a goal of mine. I have received a few letters from schools but the most contact I have had is with the University of Sioux Falls.”
College can wait. Right now Miller has an event left to play with the Phenom and a senior season to enjoy.
“My goals are to continue to work hard and help my teams be successful. As far as basketball goes, my goal is to help my team reach the state tournament.”
They were one score away from state last year so this year Beulah basketball lovers are ready to ride with Logan Miller.
