Recruiting Report: Cole Bergan (2018)
Sanford Pentagon National team big Cole Bergan has three D1 offers at this point and several other D1 programs calling. Who has Cole’s attention this most? PHD breaks it down.
“I’m probably hearing the most from Northern Colorado, Massachusetts-Lowell, Lehigh and Drake,” Bergan said to Ryan Burns of Prep Hoops/Scout.com. “All of those schools are telling me that they’re pretty interested and are going to be watching me the next couple of weekends.
“As far as offers right now at the division one level, I have South Dakota State, North Dakota, and North Dakota State.”
Schools have offered but which programs does Cole like the most at this point?
“I like Lehigh and Northern Colorado right now as I kind of want to get away and those schools would allow me to do that, along with UMass-Lowell,” Cole said.
“I’ll probably make a decision before my senior season as it gives me some time to do my visits and weigh my options. Nothing is set visit wise right now.”
Bergan was recently at NDSU camp.
“Last time I spoke with North Dakota State was at the elite camp in June. I enjoyed it a lot as there was lots of good competition there.
“I spoke with pretty much all of the Bison coaches while I was there, and they like my game and were impressed. I think NDSU is okay, as they just redid their whole basketball facility so there’s a big recruiting advantage.”
Bergan has two more weeks to impress college coaches at these schools and others. His Sanford Pentagon National Team is 14-4 this year after four events (they also scrimmaged the USA 16u team in Colorado in early June) and have two events to go.
Bergan and his teammates will be in Wichita this week at the Mullens Invite and then they finish things up in Las Vegas in the Fab 48.
