Platform Champions Da House 17u
Da House 17u are making quite the splash this summer.
Sunday they captured the Powerade Platform 17u Championship. The Mississippi-based AAU program actually features three Tennessee prospects.
At six-foot-four, TyLandrius Parks adds bounce and shooting touch to Da House AAU. The senior-to-be represents Middleton High School. You can reach MHS along I-57 due west of Pickwick Dam on the Tennessee River.
Because Parks plays mere miles from the TN/MS border he was picked up by Da House. Parks’ scoring prowess (14.6 ppg) pushed Middleton High into the Region 8-A Championship back in March. Even though TyLandrius scored 15 points his men dropped 50-39 to Memphis Mitchell.

Ty Parks continued his high-octane play into the AAU months. In Platform Session III, Parks nailed six three-pointers on Championship Sunday. He showed up big for the squad.
Parks flips a quick left-handed shot up quickly. He might need to elevate more at the next level to get his shot off over other tall guards.

TyLandrius Parks didn’t shoot many triples during the high school campaign (14). The lanky wing elected instead to attack the tin. He drew plenty of fouls and rebounded at a high rate. He has to improve his free throw shooting for several reasons. First, free throw makes are tasty like candy. Secondly, as a slasher Parks will get plenty of attempts and shooting anywhere below 70% just erases prime opportunities. Parks projects as a college wing anywhere from LM-HM depending on fit.

Carrington Maclin and Quatarius York hail from Fayette Ware High. Maclin calls Somerville, Tennessee home and York lives in Williston.
The pair continued their alliance into the summer, hooping with Da House 17u.
The last 12 months York has picked up award after award. In November, QY earned MVP at the Lighthouse Classic in Corinth, MS.
Featuring for Fayette-Ware HS, York scored 26 points in the holiday tournament.
After a spectacular junior season Quatarius York landed on the D1 Class AA All-State.
York loves to hit from the outside. He projects as a MM-HM college wing. Most of his value comes from scoring, positional size, and eagerness/length defending.
The #23 is proudly donned by FWHS floor general Carrington Maclin. The 5-foot-9 guard keeps hold of the rock and makes his teammates look great. He understands floor balance and pushes the ball often. Maclin likes to throw the lob and also finish after contact.
His strength is a plus attribute. Maclin’s level will be dictated by fit and interest. Because there are thousands of point guards with college aspirations Maclin will need all of July and probably some high school highlights to promote his recruitment.
The trio of Tennessee players running with Da House continue to draw pictures, tweets, and college looks. Stay tuned to PrepHoops.com for recruitment updates.
