Meet The Player: Diego Bernard
Q: How has the experience on the PowerAde Circuit been for you this year?
Diego: It’s been good, a lot of really good teams, and every game we have had to come out and play well. You have to come and bring your best and if you don’t you will get beat, it’s a lot of good teams in this league.
Q: What’s your recruitment been like so far?
Diego: It’s been going good, I have been getting a lot of interest from a lot of D2 and double A schools.
Q: What do you feel you bring to your team now and possibly to your team in the future?
Diego: My energy on the floor, also the impact I have on the defensive end of the court, getting stops. Getting to the rim on offense as well as dishing it out to my teammates and setting them up for easy shots just creating for others.
Q: What’s some of the things you’re looking for when choosing a college program?
Diego: I’m looking for a place with a family environment and a team that plays together, like a place where one person doesn’t shot the ball all the time and everybody else is watching. Also a place where the team looks out for one another, that’s the type of place that I want to be.
Q: What’s your favorite sneaker to play in?
Diego: I like KD’s (Kevin Durant’s) but I mess with Kyrie’s as well.
Q: Favorite College or NBA player?
Diego: I like Russel Westbrook, I’ve watched some of his old games and stuff at UCLA. Just watching his highlights you can see the different things he did well, like coming off ball screens and things like that. I just really like his game and how hard he plays every time he steps on the court.
