GRBA Nationals: 15U Top Performers
The final weekend of AAU is complete and we are going to take a quick look back at some of the top players we saw in the last week. Today, we look at the top 2020’s we saw at the GRBA Nationals in Fort Wayne.
Mitchell Wilson – 5’11 PG – 2020 – Columbia City (IN) – Team Focus 2020
Chris Grubbs – 6’4 SF – 2020 – Hamilton Southeastern (IN) – Indy Heat 2020
Anthony Scales – 6’4 SF – 2020 – Indianapolis Pike (IN) – Indy Heat 2020
Noah Jager – 5’8 PG – 2020 – Bloomington South (IN) – Indiana Stars 2020
Brayton Bailey – 6’2 SG – 2020 – Bedford North Lawrence (IN) – Indiana Stars 2020
Breakdown: The class of 2020 is starting to expand, slowly but surely and one name that hails from a recently family tree is Noah Jager. The younger brother of Johnny Jager who is now at Indiana as a walk-on. The 5’8 guard showed that he can have a little of his brothers game as he handle the ball and got the rim with some fearlessness.
However, the majority of the standouts were guys we knew and have made big improvements. Chris Grubbs continues his ascent into the top of the class with his play with Indy Heat while his teammate Anthony Scales showed some more improvement as well. Scales looks more and more like a wing as he’s getting more comfortable with his movement and body. Also have liked to see Bedford standout Brayton Bailey and his improved jumper. Also, Columbia City (IN) guard Mitchell Wilson looked as poised as every as he really took it to a couple teams this weekend. He doesn’t back down from much and has confidence in his offense.
