University of Central Missouri Team Camp (Class of 2019 Guards/Wings)
Here is a look at some of the top Class of 2019 guards and wings from the University of Central Missouri Team Camp in Warrensburg, MO.
Jaylen Varner 6’1″ Marshall: An athletic combo guard with a strong body and a nice set of offensive tools. He has the ability to play through contact and get to the rim with his strong drives to the basket. He can stop and pop and make short jumpers and knock down an open 3-pointer off the catch.
Luke Mackey 5’11” Warrensburg: A capable young point guard who knows how to distribute the basketball and run the show. He penetrates well off the dribble and knows how to keep the ball moving on offense. He also displayed the ability to knock down open 3-pointers. He handles the ball well and plays with a lot of court savvy and poise.
Devan Hampton 6’1″ Clever: It was my first time seeing this young guard and I was impressed with his offensive skills. He is an excellent athlete, who was slowed a little by an ankle injury, but he could score the ball off the dribble and get the ball to open teammates. He was also very good in transition.
Ejyah Sheridan 5’10” Warrensburg: A physically strong point guard who plays with a lot of pace. He looks to push the ball at every opportunity, which resulted in many excellent dimes for easy baskets for his teammates. He also displayed a nice floater on offense. He was also a very aggressive on-ball defender who was not afraid to pick up his man on a full court basis.
