Recruiting Report: Christian Bishop (2018)
Kansas City — One of the state’s top 2018 recruits is off the board.
Lee’s Summit West forward Christian Bishop announced on Wednesday that he has committed to Creighton.
The announcement came on the heels of an unofficial visit to the school
A 6-foot-8, 180-pound wing, Bishop first drew offers from the University of Missouri under head coach Kim Andersen last fall, and from Tulsa around that time as well. New Mizzou head coach Cuonzo Martin recently reaffirmed the Tigers offer as well.
Other schools in the mix have been Wichita State, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Florida Gulf Coast and Bishop saw his recruiting heat up this spring while playing for KC Team Rush.
A long, rangy forward with the ability to play on the wing or around the rim, Bishop grew several inches between his sophomore and junior year and has taken his game to new heights over the past calendar year. He is able to throw down dunks around the rim, can step out and handle the ball, pass and has a smooth looking jumper.
His play a year ago helped LSW advance all the way to the Missouri Class 5 state championship game and he will team with Mario Goodrich, who recently committed to play football at Nebraska, to form a dynamic 1-2 punch.
