Prep Hoops Show Me Showdown Recap (Class of 2020 Wings)
Here is a look at some of the top Missouri Class of 2020 wings from last weekend’s Prep Hoops Show-Me Showdown in St. Louis.
Ben Palacios 6’3″ KC Elite: A long and very skilled wing player who played everywhere on the court and excelled wherever he played. He spent a lot of time as the point guard, where he initiated offense, make plays for others and create his own offense. Ben was also very effective on the wing as a scorer and playmaker. He shot the ball well from distance and got buckets going to the basket. Very talented and versatile player.
Jeremiah Johnson 6’1″ Missouri Impact: A very skilled guard who was very good at getting buckets throughout the weekend. He was able to maneuver his thin body in the lane and score on many slashing and twisting drives to the basket. He’s quick and he has a very good feel for putting the ball in the basket, with the way he finished. He was also a very effective perimeter shooter. He saw varsity minutes as a freshman at McCluer.
Tulley Thomen 6’2″ MO Team Carroll: One of the top perimeter shooters in the 15U field, Thomen’s marksmenship helped lead his team to the Final Four. In his first game of the tournament, Thomen nailed six 3-pointers, most of them coming off the catch.
Tysen Brennan 6’3″ KC Elite: The lanky wing player teamed with Ben Palacios to form quite a 1-2 combination for the KC Elite. Brennan is an excellent 3-point shooter with a very good overall skill set. When he wasn’t knocking down 3-pointers, he was able getting buckets off the bounce and attacking the basket in an aggressive manner. He was able to use his size and length to score at the rim and get himself to the free throw line.
