Notebook: 2017’s Still Coming Off The Board
Recruiting is never over and just like that we have had a couple more 2017 prospects come off the board this past week. All three are heading to post-grad programs around the country.
The first to come off the board is Merrillville’s Jonah Jackson. The 6’2 shooter was looking at a couple Junior Colleges while also having some DII options available. In the end, it was John A Logan Community College that landed his services. Jackson will head to the Illinois Juco for the next two years.
Another big name from the Region that is now off the board is East Chicago Central’s Jermaine Cousinard. The 6’6 wing was an Indiana All-Star and one of the better players in the senior class. He will now head to Florida to play at Montverde Prep School for a postgrad year. He will reclassify to the 2018 class.
The final prospect off the board was Terre Haute North’s Braeylne Compton. Compton was a little bit of a hidden prospect that could really score the ball with some upside. He will also go the Juco route as he will head to Lincoln Trail Community College.
