Lindenwood Team Camp Recap (2018 Forwards)
Here is a look at some of the top Class of 2018 forwards from last weekend’s Lindenwood University Team Camp in St. Charles, MO:
Yahuza Rasas 6’6″ St. Mary’s: The bouncy power forward was very impressive during the weekend to the point where he received his first scholarship offer from the host school, Lindenwood U. Rasas never cheats you in the effort department as he runs the court hard and scores, rebounds and blocks shots with equal intensity. Not satisfied with just being a low post player, Rasas is also working to improve his perimeter game and ball handling.
Jordan Brown 6’5″ Jennings: A long and lanky combo forward who has the build of a wing player, but has the ability to play inside with his length and leaping ability. He did a nice job of playing the high post against a zone defense with his ability to turn and make the 15 footer. He finishes well on the break and he did an excellent job of crashing the offensive boards and scoring on put backs.
Zach Harding 6’6″ Christian-O’Fallon: A very skilled and poised combo forward who was a matchup problem with his ability to score in the post, step out and knock down 3-pointers and hit open cutters with pinpoint passing. He has a really nice turnaround jumper in the lane over the right shoulder. He is also very comfortable shooting the 3-pointer and stretching the defense.
Trent Steibler 6’3″ Ladue: A very solid players who always seems to be in the right position to make the right play for his team. I liked his play because he always found himself around the ball whether it was for a steal, rebound or a loose ball. He did a very effective job offensively with his ability to move without the basketball and get buckets.
Joey Bender 6’5″ DeSmet: A solid post player who is a blue-collar worker around the paint area. He works hard for position in the low post and has the ability to finish with both hands.
