Lindbergh Shootout Standouts
Here are some of the top standouts from last weekend’s one-day Lindbergh High Summer Shootout:
Colin Braun 6’8″ Vianney (18): The long and lanky power forward was very effective at both ends of the court. He has the ability to score inside with both hands and throw down an impressive slam dunk in traffic. He is mobile and has good length, which makes him a very good shot blocker on the defensive end. He needs to get stronger, but he can be a good small college prospect.
Ben Coughlin 5’10” Rockwood Summit (’19): The best perimeter shooter in the event, Coughlin can really stroke it from downtown off the catch. He has nice form and a very pretty release where the ball looks like its going to go in every time he leaves his hand. He is a solid ball handler who is also willing to put the ball on the floor when teams close out on him hard.
Randy Love 6’2″ Lift for Life (’18): An athletic guard who showed the ability to play point guard or shooting guard quite effectively. He handles the ball well and has the ability to get to the basket or knock down jumpers off the dribble. Love was also a good rebounder from the guard spot.
Eric Lahm 6’9″ Lindbergh (’19): A long and looks like he is still growing forward who is improving and developing with each game. His size and length makes him an imposing target to shoot over on the defensive end. He likes to block shots. He has a nice shooting touch on offense. He will continue to develop as he gains physical strength so he can hold his position on the floor.
Ronal Harris 6’2″ Lindbergh (’18): A thick bodied wing player who is physically strong and has a pretty nice skill set. He displayed some crafty moves to the basket where he combined his strength and nice handles to get to the rim, where he also could knock down floaters and short jumpers.
