Intro: Jermaine Hamlin (2019)
Lincoln 2019 center Jermaine Hamlin is an intriguing 6’9” post from Lincoln High School. A high school program that is usually known for their skilled guards has a legit sized post with some potential. He is still raw, but definitely has some tools to work with. The lefty isn’t an overly skilled post scorer at this stage. Has some trouble finishing. Once he gets a little more coordinated should improve on this. High points rebounds and snatches them in traffic. Has the ability to grow into a plus rebounder and post defender.
Hamlin spoke about his sophomore season at Lincoln.
“It was a nice season. We had to play some tough teams to win. We had to learn to execute and play hard. As a sophomore it is hard to get in the game, but whenever I got in I thought I did the best that I could and do whatever coach says.”
He knows where the strength of his game is.
“I think I am more of a defensive player. Sometimes I can get my offense going. I am not scared to do anything.”
The Lincoln post runs with Quad City Elite 16U on the circuit.
“I enjoy playing with these kids with guys from everywhere. I see my role being playing defense.”
Any college interest to this point?
“I have heard from Northern Iowa.”
