Dakota prospects at the Pentagon: 15U Standouts
Carter Tandeski– Maddock- Tandeski is a tough, high motor forward who attacks every offensive rebound whenever a shot is put up. He can play with his back to the basket and is a good finisher through contact when given dump-offs.
Trace Goven– Rugby- Goven is a glue guy for ECI meaning when he’s playing the team looks up to him to get them in a groove. He can put it on the floor and get to the hoop or pull up into a jump shot. He can dribble the ball up the court strong and can run the offense and distribute.
Dodavah Rainey– Fargo South- Rainey is a big time hustle player and any ball that was on the floor he was one of the first to dive. His best strength is rebounding for both sides of the floor and along with that comes his ability to keep the ball high and score put-backs.
Cole Benson– GF Red River- Benson’s best strength this past weekend was his shooting ability. He was able to catch and shoot as well as create space for himself to get his shot off. He impressed me most when he dove on the floor and tried to continue to play while bleeding, showing his toughness.
Braden Fee– Devils Lake- Fee is an undersized guard that sneaks up on opponents because he scores mostly off cuts and kick out jump shots. Fee also crashes the offensive glass hard and makes it so the defence can’t fall asleep on him.
Logan Ellingson– Dell Rapids- Ellingson stands out among all the other 15u players with his ability to handle the basketball. This young player can handle basketball while dribbling up the court and also to create for himself and for his teammates. He also is a crafty finisher around the rim and has to be since he is only 5’9.
Casey Stegemen– Arlington- Stegemen is a long 6’7 at age 15 and uses every inch towards his rebounding efforts. He crashes and gets almost every defensive board and can finish off passes from the guards under the rim well.
