Powerade Platform: 5 Players To Watch
This weekend is a big one in Indianapolis for the AAU scene as Nike, Under Armour, and tons of other events will be in town for the second live period. With that, we are taking a look at some of the top players at each event. Here are 5 players to watch at the Powerade Platform from Indiana.
Jalen Whack – 6’2 | SG | 2018 | Carmel (IN) | GP Premier 2018-Devoe
Whack is a guy that has really started to develop as a scoring threat but has always been a really good defensive player. Once he adds that offense he is going to end up jumping up a level in recruitment. Needs to show the jumper more.
Langston Stallings – 6’4 | SG | 2018 | Bowman Academy (IN) | SYF Players 2018
Stallings was pretty impressive at times during the high school season but this is another level of play. If he can do that throughout the summer he should see more colleges buy in. Good offensive scoring threat with legit size.
Matt Frost – 6’6 | SF | 2019 | Columbus East (IN) | GP Premier 2019-Adams
Frost has improved tremendously in the last year and while he’s still an unknown prospect, he might not be for much longer. He’s grown in size and his handles are so much better allowing him to do all the things he has in his head.
Amari Sherrod – 6’3 | SG | 2019 | Bowman Academy (IN) | SYF Players 2019
Sherrod is another one of the talented players up in the Region that will have a lot of help now that he is out and about on the circuit. He’s really talented and comes with a frame and strength that coaches crave.
Collin Kenney – 6’1 | SG | 2019 | Marquette Catholic (IN) | SYF Players 2019
Kenney had a great high school season and he was one of the more statistically impressive players this year. This is a case where he needs to back it up. If he can do it against a higher level of talent then you can really start buying in.
