Under Armour Association: 5 Players To Watch
This weekend is a big one in Indianapolis for the AAU scene as Nike, Under Armour, and tons of other events will be in town for the second live period. With that, we are taking a look at some of the top players at each event. Here are 5 players to watch at the UA Association from Indiana.
Kevin Easley – 6’6 | SF | 2018 | Lawrence North (IN) | G3 Grind 2018
Easley looked good in the first live period and seemed to have everything working for him. When he does, he’s a guy that you want to have on your team but you are looking for consistency. He’s back on the market and looking for more options.
De’Avion Washington – 6’3 | SG | 2018 | Terre Haute South (IN) | G3 Grind 2018
Washington is a kid that could be on the verge of having a big summer. The 6’3 guard has developed his jumper to the point that he needs to get hot with it for a couple weeks. If he does, he could have a new level of offer.
Mason Gillis – 6’6 | C | 2019 | New Castle (IN) | G3 Grind 2019
Gillis is a tough customer in the low post and he did really well last week on the UA circuit. If he can keep that going this week after being scouted a little bit, you could see more and more people buy into his ability.
Armaan Franklin – 6’3 | SG | 2019 | Fishers (IN) | G3 Grind 2019
Like GIllis, Franklin had a great weekend in the first live period. He’s really started to come around as a skilled guard with length and athleticism. He’s growing rapidly and could attract a lot of attention after this second live period.
Michael Saunders Jr. – 5’9 | PG | 2020 | Lawrence North (IN) | G3 Grind 2020
Saunders is the captain of the ship and he will look better in AAU than he will in the high school environment. How good is the question because he has a pretty solid skill set just needs to be more assertive and this could be the environment to do it.
