The PHD Sophomore All State Team (ND)
The Sophomore All State Team from PHD includes some of the state’s most productive contributors including Trapper Jacobs who led his team to state.
First Team
Trapper Jacobs of TLMM (6-2, shooting guard). Had some monster productive games scoring on the wing plus he led his team to the state tournament. Whatever honored team there is to be on Trapper was on it.
Macauley Young of Shiloh Christian (6-9, center). Put together double-double numbers for one of the best teams in the state against one of the toughest schedules in the state.
Joe Jahner of Bismarck (6-1 guard). Joe’s 12.5 points per game with 5.6 rebounds a night. Joe shot 36 percent from the arc and competed as tough as anyone. Jahner earned post season honors on the PHD Class A team for his year.
Cadyn Schwabe of Thompson (5-9, point guard). Dished out nearly five assists for a 19 win team plus scored 13.5 points a contest with 2.3 steals. He was the playmaker on a consistent basis.
Isaac Undlin of M-L-S (6-5, power forward). Isaac scored his 1,000th point in late January and is well on his way to 2,000 after an outstanding season. One of the state’s most physical finishers and a constant double-double.
Second Team
Alex Schimke of Minot (6-0, guard). Alex was the fourth scoring option for the state champs shooting an outstanding 44 percent from the arc while grabbing five boards a game and ranking third on the team in assists.
Dalton Albrecht of Grafton (6-5, power forward). Double figure scorer and top rebounder for a 19 win Class B team. Nice year for Grafton and Dalton was a key part of their success.
Tate Dickson of Wilton-Wing (5-7, point guard). One of the most explosive scoring underclassmen in the state Dickson made big headlines in February when he put up 37 against Center-Stanton.
Trey Wiest of Mandan (6-0, point guard). Trey gave the Braves 10.1 points a contest led by a sharp shooting 43 percent from the arc as one of the best three point weapons in the WDA.
Jaden Klabo of Fargo Davies (6-4, small forward). Klabo gave Davies nearly nine points per game with four rebounds per contest and proved that he is one of the top prospects in the sophomore class.
Third Team
Cole Baumiller of Linton-HMB (6-0, guard). Linton-HMB won 21 games this year and Cole teamed with brother Hared and Lance Weiser to be one of the best trio of scoring options in the state.
Christian Kuntz of WF Sheyenne (5-11, point guard). Kuntz put up 8.4 points per game shooting 46 percent from the floor while dishing out nearly three assists per contest.
Canaan Fagerland of Shiloh Christian (5-10, point guard). Did some handling, shot the ball well for his team, tough, dependable.
Treyton Matter of Bismarck Century (5-10, guard). Scored six points a night for the state runner-up shooting 36 percent from the arc for the year. Was in the top six in minutes played for his team.
Luke Lennon of West Fargo (6-5, power forward). Luke scored nearly eight a contest shooting 62 percent from the floor while grabbing seven rebounds a contest.
Fourth Team
Braeton Motschenbacher of Fargo Davies (6-1, shooting guard). Put up 6.5 points per game for Davies this winter shooting 39 percent at the arc and giving the team a shooter off the bench.
Isaac Huber of Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier (5-10, shooting guard). An all around player that was among his team leaders or led the team in points, boards, assists, and steals.
Siadu Conteh of Fargo South (5-10, guard). Conteh led South in scoring this winter with his 11.7 points per game shooting 43 percent from the field for the improved Bruins.
Keaton Nelson of Benson County (6-4, power forward). Nelson put up 14.7 points and 7.5 rebounds a game for Benson County plus passed the ball well out of the post.
Jamison Fettig of Napoleon-GS (guard). A weapon for the .500 Imperials the second he crossed halfcourt.
Fifth Team
Mason Walters of Jamestown (6-3, forward). Walters put up nine points and 3.5 rebounds a game shooting a high percentage (52 percent from the field).
Chance Bye of Enderlin (5-8 point guard). Played on a struggling Enderlin team but still put up 15.8 points per game.
Joshua Darwin of Wahpeton (6-3, forward). Josh scored 12.7 points per game this winter with nearly seven rebounds a contest.
Hunter Gladue of Dunseith (5-10, point guard). Stepped into some big shoes from last year and was a key scorer for his team.
Kyle VanBerkom and Aiden Nordloef of Powers Lake (forwards). Powers Lake had a solid 16-9 year with Kyle and Aiden being two of the three main players. The Ranchers laid the ground work for a nice future led by this duo.
