The PHD All Freshmen Team: North Dakota
All Freshman First Team
Boden Skunberg, Jamestown, 6-3, Small Forward. At 14 points per game Boden was the most productive of all the freshman players across the state that played good minutes. Definitely our Freshman MVP this season.
Carson Henningsgard, HCV, 6-0, Shooting Guard. Played a nice role for a state champion earning himself a first place medal with strong contributions.
Andre Carrier, Cavalier, 6-3, Power Forward. Had a few big number games that really opened our eyes to what could come in the future. Toughest freshman in the paint.
Isaac Doll, Hazen. 6-1, Small Forward. Really had some big nights scoring alongside Wyatt Carr until Wyatt went down. The injury brought more attention at Doll who still played solid.
Cole Myers, Richland, 6-1 Small Forward. Scored nearly ten points per game for a Colts team that won 18 games this season.
All Freshman Second Team
Elijah Klein, Mandan, 6-5, Power Forward. Gave Mandan a couple double-doubles this year and played a nice role off the bench.
Jerry Lenior, Warwick, 6-1 Small Forward. Warock had a tough year but Jerry had several double figure scoring nights and scored around nine a contest.
Bradley Defender, St. John, 5-10, Point Guard. Promising young talent that played his role extremely well for one of the state’s best teams.
Hunter Thorpe, Ellendale, 6-2, Small Forward. The team counted on Thorpe a little more every night as the season moved on. Capable scorer who has a bright future.
Coleman Nieuwsma, Strasburg/Zeeland, 6-4, Power Forward. Established himself as a threat around the basket this year and should be a big number producer the next three seasons.
All Freshman Third Team
Blake Matejcek, Wahpeton, 6-4, Power Forward.
Carter Tandeski, Benson County, 6-3, Small Forward.
Gavin Reiland, Richland, 5-9 Point Guard.
Paul Thiele, Warwick, 6-2, Power Forward.
Josh Brijlall, Fargo South, 5-8, Point Guard.
