Hollander led the NCC Warriors out of Nashville to victory over the Little Rock Flames to win the National Homeschool Class 8A Championship.
The game came easy to Hollander size and skill level. It will be different at the next level when Hollander matches up with teams who have players around his size and talent level. One thing that will really help Hollander at the next level is the way he moves. He is surprisingly quick, despite being a little heavy on the court. He uses his shiftiness and quickness to drive to the hoop. For being a bigger guy Hollander handles the ball very well.
Hollander is at his best slashing to the rim. One thing that can go overlooked about his game is the vision he displays at all times on the floor. The NCC Warriors put the ball in Hollander’s hand and let him run the offense. He set teammates up throughout the game for great looks at the basket.
The Warriors called upon Hollander to do a lot for them. In the Class 8A Homeschool Championship Game, Hollander delivered a great overall game. Hollander was a man amongst boys in the Class 8A final. He will have a chance to be a really good player at the next level at Belmont, where he signed this past November.
Hollander is excited to continue his basketball career at Belmont. The opportunity is there for Hollander to play a large role for Belmont as a freshman.
“There is a chance I can get a lot of minutes early in my career if I work hard,” said Hollander. “I’m really excited to get to Belmont.”
After winning the Class 8A National Homeschool Championship, Hollander will now look to lead the NCC Warriors to the overall tournament championship over the next two days.
