Grassroots Team Preview: Missouri Team Carroll Missouri Team Carroll is an Adidas sponsored program, backed with the contribution and support of former Missouri Tiger and current NBA player DeMarre Carroll. Team Carroll recently added five new teams to their organization (15U Elite and Select, 16U Elite, 16/17U Select, and 17U Elite) to their already established 14U program ran by Tami Chievous and Stefon Tippin. With the help of DeMarre Carroll and Tami Chievous, Team Carroll joined forces with Tim Ward (founder of the Missouri Hustle AAU program), Kent Thomas, and Seth Thomas to establish these five new teams. 2017 will be the inaugural season for Missouri Team Carroll featuring High School age teams. When getting into the lane he is a crafty finisher and when he doesn’t have anything he finds the open guy. He is very quick and likes to get in the passing lanes and get easy transition buckets. RJ Lawrence (5-11 CG): Elite shooter, can score in bunches, very capable of getting to the basket off the dribble Trent Lyles (6-0 PG): Trent Lyles is an overall player. He can create for his teammates but also can create for himself Kaden Evans (6-3 SG): Evans is an elite shooter who can take his defender off the bounce. Austin Thompson (6-2 SG): A defensive energizer for Team Carroll, Thompson likes to take his man off the bounce, athletic and physical guard. Landon Harrison (5-10 PG) Quick PG, can create for himself, gets in the lane and finds other open. Harrison currently has offers from Lincoln University and Missouri S&T. Cameron Teson (5-10 PG): Smooth with the ball. Can hit the open shot but likes to find the open man on the court and create for others. Savion Thorpe (6-2 CG): Really good at creating his own shot. Really good with the ball in his hands. Can score from all three levels. Malachy Simpson (6-7 W/F): stretch 4 type of player. Plays inside and outside, has some nice post moves, blocks shots inside. Braedan Wetrich (6-2 CG): elite shooter, can take his man off the bounce, likes to get to the mid range. Quentin Brown (6-6 W/F): Super athlete, likes to attack the rim when on perimeter.
