Recruiting report: Jordan Lathon (2018)
One of the Kansas City area’s top guards, Jordan Lathon is hearing from a host of NCAA Division I colleges as he leads Grandview to a terrific campaign.
A 6’4 2018 point guard, Lathon is averaging 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game while leading Grandview to a 17-3 record.
An explosive and competitive player, Lathon spent the offseason competing for Team Rush and focused on winning and performing at a high level.
He says his AAU coach Victor Williams has been the biggest influence on his basketball career.
“I have been with him since I was in fourth grade and he believed in me and had a vision of what I could become before anybody even know who I was,” Lathon said.
A fan of the Cavs Kyrie Irving, Lathon says he has tried to implement his patience and play making into his own game.
Already Lathon has drawn offers from Butler, Colorado, DePaul, Tulsa, Boise State and Air Force. He has taken unofficial visits to Colorado, Butler, Nebraska, Creighton, Mizzou, Kansas State and Wichita State, and plans to take visits to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State soon.
Lathon says he will narrow his list this summer and commit sometime before his senior season.
