The Patriots are 9-10 on the season but they enter the playoffs winners of five of their last six games including a win over RC Stevens.
“So far this season has been a really tough one for us,” Diang told PHD. “We have let some close games slip away from us in the second half.”
Gatlauk is solidly skilled at his size, agile, long, and quick off his feet. These items give him physical gifts that could really blossom.
“As the year has gone on I feel like my game has really grown a lot,” Gatlauk.
“This year my confidence has grown and my shot selections has gotten better. I have learned that your shot will always come to you if you’re working hard enough on the defensive end.”
District 2AA is quite competitive with Brandon Valley being a clear one while Lincoln, Washington, Harrisburg, and Yankton are all similar in record. Based on the seeding points it looks like Lincoln will take on Washington next Thursday in a huge playoff game.
“No matter how bad you do in the regular season you can always bounce back and make a run for the playoffs, I believe that we can make a run for the playoffs and hopefully get far in the playoffs,” Diang said.
Diang will play college basketball somewhere in the future although right now that could go in many directions. The fact is the potential is there. Diang just has to keep working for it.
“At the moment University of Sioux Falls is the only school that as been talking to me for a while, hopefully during this summer I can get more looks,” he said.
