Torrence Watson (Whitfield): The 6’5″ 2018 guard erupted for 44 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Warriors to a 76-47 victory over Hancock in the Class 3, District 4 finals at Valley Park. Watson dominated the game from start to finish as he nearly outscored the Tigers by himself to lead Whitfield to its second consecutive district title. He is the top individual talent remaining in the Class 3 state tournament.
Cade Combs (Harrisburg): The 6’4″ 2018 guard scored 38 points to lead the Bulldogs to a 91-75 victory over top-seeded Eugene in the Class 2, District 8 finals at Sturgeon.
Jamarr Williams (Northwest Academy): The 6’6″ 2018 forward had 28 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks to lead the Hornets to an 81-45 victory over Lutheran North in the Class 3, District 6 finals at Orchard Farm. Williams was a dominant force in the paint throughout the game. He also had four dunks on the evening.
Ryan Young (Meadville): The 6’2″ 2017 forward had 21 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks in a 57-52 victory over Northwestern in the Class 1, District 12 championship game at Northwestern.
Demarcus Sharp (Charleston): The 6’2″ 2018 guard had 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists to lead the Bluejays to a 52-46 victory over Caruthersville in the Class 3, District 1 championship at Malden. The Bluejays gained some revenge on Caruthersville after they ended Charleston’s season in the sectionals a year ago.
Julius Walker (Greenwood): The 6’4″ 2017 forward scored 28 points to lead Greenwood Lab to a 60-50 victory over Fair Play in the Class 2, District 10 championship at Skyline. It was Greenwood’s first district title since 2005.
Garrett Kesterson (Fair Grove): The 6’4″ 2017 guard scored 30 points to lead the Eagles to a 66-58 victory over Springfield Catholic in the Class 3, District 11 championship game. Kesterson was money from the free throw line as he connected on 12 of 14 from the charity stripe.
Sam Stichnote (Southern Boone): The 6’1″ 2019 forward had 25 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Eagles past Blair Oaks 65-52 in the Class 3, District 9 championship game at Blair Oaks. It was Stichnote who put the Eagles into the championship game with a last-second bucket to defeat Father Tolton 53-51 in the semifinals.
Ryan Dove (Green Ridge): The 2017 guard scored 33 points to lead the Tigers to a 72-63 victory over Otterville in the Class 1, District 12 championship game at Leeton.
Chase Parrish (Montgomery County): The 6’4″ 2017 forward scored 20 points, including his 2000th career point to lead host Montgomery County to a 62-54 victory over Christian-O’Fallon in the Class 3, District 7 championship game.
Carson Miles (Advance): The 6’1″ 2018 guard had 23 points, five rebounds and three blocks in the Hornets 89-68 victory over Bell City in the Class 1, District 2 championship game at Advance. Miles also knocked down three consecutive 3-pointers during a decisive third-quarter surge to break the game open.
