Jordan Nesbit 6’5″ Lutheran North (2020): The talented ninth grader scored a game-high 19 points to lead the No. 7 seed Crusaders to an upset victory over No. 2 seed Duchesne. Nesbit was tough off the dribble in the first quarter as he scored eight points. In the fourth quarter, he showed some great maturity as he scored eight points, including two tough 17 foot jumpers down the stretch. He would not let his young team lose in the fourth quarter. It was impressive to watch.
Ryan Warren 5’7″ Northwest Academy (2017): A small, yet electric quick point guard who scored a game-high 20 points in the Hornets’ 74-33 victory over Sumner. Warren is tremendous in the open court as a scorer and a passer. He displayed knock-down shooting ability from long distance, plus he can get to the basket and locate open teammates.
Berlin Roberson 5’8″ McCluer South-Berkeley (2017): The diminutive Roberson scored a game-high 30 points in the Bulldogs 73-68 victory over North Tech. He was difficult to defend all evening with his jet-like quickness and ability to shoot the basketball. He lived at the free throw line throughout the game, which he really took over in the fourth quarter with 15 points.
Wilshon Warren 6’2″ Northwest Academy (2018): One of the most explosive players in the St. Louis area, Warren finished the game with 19 points and four dunks in the victory over Sumner. He has the ability to knock down 3-pointers off the catch, plus the ability to electrify the crowd with his athleticism and dunking in the open court.
Mitch Fairless 6’4″ Duchesne (2018): The athletic wing player scored 16 points in the Pioneers loss to Lutheran North. Fairless enjoyed an excellent junior season with his athleticism, shooting and driving ability. He enjoyed a lot of success attacking the basket and finishing at the rim on Monday night, including a nice slam dunk in transition.
Jalen White 6’2″ Lutheran North (2019): A strong, young shooting guard who scored 11 points in the victory over Duchesne. He puts his physical strength to good use when he gets to the basket. He plays through contact well and can finish at the basket.
