Scott County Central (23-6) vs. Advance (23-6) at Bloomfield, 6 p.m. – The two teams have split two earlier meetings with Advance winning a shocking 50-point blowout last month with SCC was missing three starters. Scott County is led by 6’2″ 2017 stat-sheet stuffer Deantrell Beard while Advance features 2017 standouts Preston Wuebker and Dawson Mayo. This should be a high-scoring barnburner from start to finish as both teams have plenty of firepower. (Prediction: Scott County Central)
Eminence (19-9) vs. Bradleyville (21-7) at Mountain Grove, 6 p.m. – The Redwings have an excellent big in 6’6″ 2019 Trent McBride and plenty of support, including the scoring of Grant Dyer and shooting of Ethan Drake. They are coming together at the right time. They are facing a Bradleyville team that is back for another sectional contest. (Prediction: Eminence)
Braymer (21-6) vs. Worth County (21-7) at St. Joe Civic Arena, 3 p.m. – Braymer pulled off the biggest surprise in Class 1 by knocking off undefeated and No. 1 Winston in the District 13 championship game. They won the first meeting against Worth County on Jan. 6. Both teams have excellent size for Class 1 schools. Braymer is led by 6’6″ 2017 Austin Hall. Junior dominated Worth County is paced by 6’4″ Cade Allee and 6’3″ Austin Kinsella. (Prediction: Braymer)
North Andrew (26-1) vs. Jefferson (21-7) at St. Joe Civic Arena, 6:30 p.m. – North Andrew won the only meeting of the two teams 60-56 way back in December. They are led by the 2018 duo of 6’4″ Caleb Patterson and 6’3″ Jacob Powelson. Jefferson gets strong play from guard Michael Burch and forward Cade Farne. (Prediction: North Andrew)
Walnut Grove (26-3) vs. Montrose (20-7) at Webb City, 6 p.m. – The Tigers have their sights on another trip to Columbia after finishing second last year. They are led by super 2018 guard Logan Thomazin and an excellent supporting cast that can score a lot of points. Montrose features one of the state’s top bucket-getters in 6’2″ 2017 guard Gage Thompson, who averages more than 30 points a game. (Prediction: Walnut Grove)
Hermitage (26-3) vs. Green Ridge (12-11) at Smith-Cotton, 6 p.m. – Hermitage is a balanced and veteran team that has plenty of weapons, led by 2017s Dillon Meyer, Jeff Salmon and Victor Le Verdier. Green Ridge will rely on the talents of guard Ryan Dove, who scored 33 points in Green Ridge’s District 8 championship victory over Otterville (Prediction: Hermitage)
Glasgow (25-3) vs. Chamois (20-8) at Sturgeon, 6 p.m. – Glasgow is seeking another Final Four trip after finishing third a year ago. They Yellowjackets have strength inside in 6’4″ 2017 forward Kennedy Davis and a fine guard in 2017 Hayden Hackman. Chamois is making a return appearance in the sectionals. They are led by talented 6’5″ 2018 forward Aaron Brandt. (Prediction: Glasgow)
Linn County (17-11) vs. Meadville (24-4) at Chillicothe, 6 p.m. – This will be the third meeting of the two teams with Meadville winning both games. Meadville features an excellent all-around player in 6’2″ 2017 Ryan Young and a talented youngster in 6’3″ 2019 Dillon Seckington. (Prediction: Meadville).
