Big Monday! No waiting around this week, big games are happening tonight. Red hot 9-2 Dell Rapids is at 12-1 Flandreau as the Fliers play their toughest game of the season outside of the Sioux Valley loss. Dell Rapids is at Flandreau tonight, at Tea tomorrow, and at Tri-Valley this Friday. Tough week but they are playing very well.
Also tonight is 12-2 Brandon Valley playing at SF Washington who is 6-6.
Tuesday Night Top Ten. Here are the best games to go watch or at least follow for this coming Tuesday:
- Dell Rapids at Tea Area
- Clark/Willow Lake at Groton Area
- Groton Area at Langford Area
- SF Christian at Elk Point-Jefferson
- Red Cloud at Hill City
- Chester Area at Parker
- Hot Springs at Sturgis Brown
- Canistota at Viborg-Hurley
- Thomas More at Belle Fourche
- Redfield/Doland vs Potter County
Thursday Sledgehammer. When the week is starting to wear you down some big games will be played especially in Class B. There is a Sanborn Central/Woonsocket vs Corsica-Stickney game, the Wall vs White River showdown, and the game of the night is a Class A battle between Sioux Valley and Flandreau.
Twin Cities Bus Tour. The public city schools are headed to Minneapolis to face the Lake Conference schools in the western metro of the Twin Cities. These are Minnesota’s biggest schools in terms of enrollment and Washington, Lincoln, and Roosevelt will play Friday night and then Saturday afternoon.
Friday’s Best. The Sisseton at Roncalli game jumps off the page as one of note, the Rapid City Rivalry Central against Stevens will fill the building, and Tri-Valley against Dell Rapids is interesting as both have been playing well.
Weekend Events. Vermillion hosts the DAK XII Classic which is a fantastic day of games producing some of the best match-ups to see all year among these league teams. Also played this weekend is the Pentagon Classic at the Sanford Pentagon, DSU Classic at Madison, LMC League event at Lemmon concludes, and the Highmore Classic at Highmore. We haven’t been able to locate a full schedule of most of these events yet but the Pentagon Classic is listed below (the Sioux Valley vs Crosby-Ironton game should be fantastic):
9 a.m. – West Lyon (Iowa) vs. Parker
10:30 a.m. – Parkston vs. Aberdeen Christian
Noon – Corsica-Stickney vs. Milbank
1:30 p.m. – Red Cloud vs. Sisseton
3 p.m. – Moorhead (Minnesota) vs. Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Iowa)
4:30 p.m. – Sioux Valley vs. Crosby Ironton (Minnesota)
6 p.m. – Remsen St. Mary’s (Iowa) vs. West Sioux (Iowa)
7:30 p.m. – St. Thomas More vs. Western Christian (Iowa)
9 p.m. – Sioux Center (Iowa) vs. LeMars (Iowa)
