Javonte Perkins 6’7″ Miller Career Academy: Very skilled combo forward who is comfortable on the wing with his ability to handle the ball and knock down jumpers. Has excellent elevation on his mid-range jumper and he can also knock down 3-pointers. Averaging more than 20 points and 10 rebounds. A Division I prospect who may either be headed to prep school or the junior college route.
B.J. Wilson 6’7″ SLUH: One of the biggest and most physical post players still available. He is strong and he’s not afraid to throw his bulk around in the low post. He can be effective offensively if he gets the ball in certain spots of the court. Has a nice jump hook.
Xavier Womack 6’6″ Cardinal Ritter: A long and athletic forward who has been playing with a terrific motor this season, thus producing a number of double doubles. He is explosive around the basket and runs the court well on the fast break. X can score on the drive and can step out and knock down perimeter jumpers.
Alex Movila 6’8″ Boriga: Has emerged as one of the top low post scoring threats as a senior. Scored a season-high 42 points in a game and 39 points in another contest. Has a nice shooting touch around the basket and has improved his shootout out to 12 to 15 feet, which has made him more difficult to defend.
River Rhoads 6’6″ Ladue: Versatile forward who really does a nice job moving without the basketball and scoring on cuts and flash posts. Moves well for a big. Rivers can also score in the post and knock down an open 3-pointer off the catch. Has really built up his body in the last few years.
Mike Brohm 6’5″ Francis Howell: Solid low-post player who has really emerged with a very productive senior season as a scorer and rebounder. He has good moves around the basket and an excellent jump hook over the right shoulder. Brohm has been putting up double-doubles on a nightly basis.
Spencer Levi 6’6″ Lindbergh: A versatile combo forward who plays multiple roles for his team. Has the ability to score in the post, but he also handles the ball, rebounds and plays solid defense. Has pretty good athleticism and will dunk on you if he has the opportunity. He is being recruited by several Division III schools.
John Yeager 6’4″ Lutheran South: A much improved player who has expanded his game from a low post player to one who can play on the wing as well and create offense. He has improved his 3-point stroke and can knock down jumpers off the dribble. Has always been able to score around the basket. Has good Division III potential.
Brent Smith 6’7″ SLUH: He returned to action in January after missing the first portion of the season with an injury. He is a very active post player who runs the court and jumps well. He scores around the paint and has a nice shooting touch out to 10 feet.
Codi Whitlock 6’6″ St. Charles: One of the most improved post players in the area. Whitlock was a mere role player last year, but now he is producing about 17 points and nine rebounds a night. He scores around the basket with both hands. Gets good position and finishes well. Also has a nice shooting touch from the high post. Getting attention from a number of Division III and NAIA schools.
Brandon Bassham 6’5″ Troy: A young man who has developed his game over the course of his career from a post player to one who can now handle the ball, score on the perimeter and be a facilitator on offense. He’s physically tough and plays with a high motor.
Dominic Davis 6’4″ Lindbergh: A strong, physical combo forward who poses matchup problems against bigger defenders with his ability to handle the ball and attack the basket in an aggressive manner.
Christopher Jordan 6’6″ Fort Zumwalt South: An athletic power forward who is a strong rebounder and a very good shot blocker. Jordan has also displayed a nice shooting touch from 10-12 feet on a consistent basis. When his motor is going, he can control stretches of games.
Tromon Weston 6’8″ Vashon: An underrated power forward who sees reserve minutes on a loaded team with several Division I prospects. Weston is a good rebounder who plays the game with a lot of activity.
Rajae Johnson 6’3″ Jennings: An undersized power forward who plays with a high motor on both ends of the court. He is a tireless worker on the boards. He loves to compete. Johnson is currently averaging 14 points and nearly 10 rebounds a game.
