He and fellow 2017 guard Matt Austin have helped the Indians start the 2016-17 season 12-2 and have posted a host of big wins already this season.
At 6’1, 172-pounds, Bristol is a well rounded guard that can play the point, play off the ball, rebound and score from the outside or in the paint. He is currently averaging 15.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.7 and 3.5 steals per game.
He spent the offseason competing for the Kansas City Pacers and said he benefited from the exposure it provided.
Bristol and the Indians are off to a strong start, having won the William Jewell tournament as well as posting a three-point win over Park Hill South.
“We play well as a team and everyone knows their roles and I’ve just tried to step us as more of a learn to the younger guys this season,” Bristol said.
Bristol said he is looking forward to contest at Liberty as the Blue Jays are 9-2 this season and are currently ranked No. 8 in the latest Missouri Class 5 poll.
“The atmosphere when we play there is unreal and it should be a pretty good game!
A fan of Maryland’s Melo Trimble, Bristol said his dad has been the biggest influence on his basketball career.
“He’s not afraid to tell me when I’m doing something wrong and he always pushes me to be my best,” Bristol said.
Although he currently does not hold any offers, but has heard from several schools including Northwest Missouri State, Benedictine, and Saint Mary’s.
