“My season individually has been pretty good,” Drew said. “I am averaging 27 points per game, five assists, and four steals per game.
“I definitely could improve on every aspect of my game although, so I am just focusing on getting better every day in practice. My team and I are getting better every day at practice, we have a difficult schedule so that is also helping us. We have had a couple games where we should of won but we learned from them.”
Pearson credits playing spring and summer basketball on the AAU circuit with the vast improvements in his game from last winter to this winter.
“The off-season going into my senior year I worked very hard and I was constantly in the gym,” Pearson told PHD. “After my junior year I realized how much I love basketball and that this is what I want to do with my life.
“I honestly don’t think anybody outworked me this summer. I also played on the 17u National ND Phenom team, which helped me tremendously. I really learned and got a whole lot better playing with Aanen Moody and Wyatt Carr. They helped me get better more then they know. This summer was truly a blessing.”
Pearson has developed a love for the game and is now thing about playing college basketball.
“At the moment I am not sure what I want to do for college,” Drew said. “I am focusing on my senior year of basketball. After that I will focus on my future and the next chapter of my life. University of Jamestown and Williston State College are the colleges showing the most interest at the moment.”
