“Our season started out a little slow but we are catching our stride,” Simpson said. “We finally have the chemistry I think we need to be a very powerful team.”
With four straight wins and wins in six of their last seven games Parshall is sitting at 8-4 heading into tomorrow’s game with New Town. Parshall has four losses but they were to quality teams like Des Lacs-Burlington, North Star, and Kemare.
Wins over New Town tonight and Stanley next week could build confidence heading into the stretch run. Simpson is a score plain and simple but he’s feeling more and more confidence in his teammates.
“I’m trusting in my teammates more this year, since I’ve been the main focus on the opposing teams plan. We trust our offense more to get easy buckets and we still have to emphasize on our defense a little more.”
PHD saw the six foot Simpson compete at Minnesota Gopher team camp this summer and this is a young man that can dribble separate and get a look from just about anyplace.
With his agility and ability to separate the raw talent is there. Coaches at the next level would benefit him greatly.
“I have several colleges showing interest and my plan is still undecided,” Deyondre said.
