“The season is going well but not as well as we wanted,” Ethan said. “Currently we are 4-2 as we ran in to a tough vermillion squad who gave us our first loss. Other than losing I think we benefited from that game.
“Our guys (younger guys especially) hated losing and are working much harder in practice.
“The season for me is going well. I am trying to do whatever it takes for my team to win. Whether that is scoring, rebounding, defense. I am also focused on being a leader. My leadership quality has improved tremendously. I have high hopes for this team and this season.”
The 6-foot-1 Freidel is a proven scorer but now he wants to be more than that. A leader and a champion is what he is after.
“I’ve grown tremendously as a student athlete for my senior year, Ethan said. “I have learned leadership skills, more responsibility, and lots of respect. I know people look up to older, senior athletes and I’m trying to set a good example on and off the court.”
Two NAIA programs are calling Freidel the most often right now as he enters the heart of his senior campaign.
“The two schools that have shown me lots of interest are Dakota Wesleyan and Briar Cliff,” Ethan said. “I plan on focusing right now on playing well however I do expect to make my decision very soon.”
